I love Beirut was a gala dinner that took place on 1 September, 2020 hosted by Sahra by the River in Parramatta. Its purpose was to raise much needed funds for victims of the Beirut blast. The exclusive event was a celebration of Lebanese culture through food, music and of course, incredible hospitality.

When a massive explosion hit Beirut’s port on August 4, 2020 the aftermath was widespread and catastrophic. The death toll surpassed 200, thousands were left injured and displaced, not to mention traumatised. This brought an already vulnerable nation to its knees.

Funds were raised through ticket sales and a variety of items that were up for auction on the night. The event raised a total of $47,250.00, which was generously donated to Steps of Hope, allowing us to continue our mission and improve the living standards of the Lebanese people through these very tough times.
